Is FlowState free?+
Yes, free for Milken students while we're in beta. We may add a small premium tier later for things like extra Flowy chats per day, but the core homework + planning features will always be free.
How does FlowState know my assignments?+
You paste your Blackbaud Feed URL once during onboarding. After that, FlowState pulls your assignment list automatically every 30 minutes, so it always shows the latest from Blackbaud — including new assignments your teachers post mid-day.
Can my teachers, parents, or school admins see my data?+
No. Your assignments, chat history with Flowy, and goals are private to you. Nobody — not Milken, not your parents, not even other students — can see your account unless you explicitly share something.
Does Flowy do my homework for me?+
No, and on purpose. Flowy is a study coach — it explains concepts, helps you plan, checks your work against the assignment directions, and quizzes you. If you ask Flowy to write your essay, it'll help you outline and revise instead.
What if I'm not at Milken?+
Right now FlowState is only open to @milkenschool.org accounts so we can polish it with our community first. We'll open up to other Blackbaud schools once we're ready — sign in with your school email to get on the waitlist.
How are difficulty levels (Lv 1 / 2 / 3) decided?+
Flowy reads each assignment's title, description, and points value, then auto-tags it: Lv 1 · Breeze for quick practice, Lv 2 · Focus for normal homework, Lv 3 · Deep Dive for big projects and assessments. You can override any tag if you disagree.
Do I need to download an app?+
No download needed — FlowState works in your browser at flowstateai.us. We're also building an iOS app that adds extra features like Focus Mode (locking distracting apps during homework). The web version has everything else.
What happens if I forget to use FlowState for a week?+
Nothing breaks. When you come back, your Blackbaud feed is already up-to-date, missing assignments are flagged in red, and Flowy will help you build a catch-up plan that's realistic for your week.
